Brick Lane Baby Blanket

 

Finished size: 28 X 34 Inches

Yarn: 3 Skeins Quince and Co Osprey (Aran Weight)

Color: Apricot

Needles: Size 8 Circular

 

Directions:

 

 

 

Cast on 86 stitches

Knit 8 rows garter stitch

Keeping 5 stitches of garter stitch on either end work from chart below for lace pattern. (Repeat section within red lines).

 

When blanket reaches 32 inches (or whatever length you prefer) work 8 more rows of garter stitch and bind off. Block to size. Blocking will help show off the lace work!

On the first row after garter, I have knitted 5 stitches, and repeated the pattern 6 times. I then knit three stitches and if leaving 5 at the end, the last stitch before appears to be YO K2TG which then means I only have 4 stitches left for the garter stitch- what am doing wrong please?
