The Salt Marsh Bandana is a simple, quick, and fun-to-knit bandana cowl. Knit from the bottom up, flat, for the bandana portion, it then transitions to being knit in the round to work the cowl section. The Salt Marsh Bandana is a companion accessory to the Salt Marsh Bandana pattern and features the same textured chevron stitch pattern.

Purl Soho Morning yarn (75% organic cotton, 25% yak, DK weight, 191 yards / 100 g)

Gauge:
20 stitches and 27 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in stockinette st worked flat, blocked lightly

Needles:
Size 5 (3.75 mm) 16” / 40 cm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Construction:
The Salt Marsh Bandana is knit from the bottom up. The bandana portion is knit flat. To create the cowl stitches are cast on and the cowl is worked in the round. Decreases are worked on the back neck edge to create a tapered in shape on the cowl.
