Retro Checks Tee

The Retro Checks Tee combines a classic checkered pattern motif with modern style. This slightly cropped, drop shoulder tee is easy to wear and fun to style. The lightweight yarn and short sleeves make it perfect for spring and summertime. Knit up in O-Wool O-Wash fingering yarn, available in a variety of happy colors. Construction: The Retro Checks Tee is knit in the round from the bottom up. The front and back are knit flat and after some short rows the shoulders are seamed with a three needle bind off. The short sleeves are picked up from the armholes and are worked outward from the body in the round.

Gauge:
24 sts and 27 rows over 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st worked in the round and blocked

Needles:
Size 3 (3.25 mm) 24-40” / 61-101.5 cm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge, and additional needles of the same size for your preferred method of small circumference knitting (9”/ 23 cm circular, 2-circulars, DPNs or Magic Loop) for the sleeves and the three needle bind off at the shoulders
Suggest sizing up 1 or 2 size needles for colorwork section for even tension
